The Windmill Hotel is a Grade 2 listed building dating back to the 18th century, and has loads of history and character. It is located in Alford Market Place and provides affordable accommodation, excellent Indian cuisine and a public bar. The Hotel has 9 en-suite rooms which are suitable for both families and business and although they still retain many of the period features, they do contain hairdryers, flat screen tv's, and coffee/tea making facilities, together with bed linen etc, towels and complimentary toiletries. There is also a Public Bar and a thriving Indian restaurant, which is open for lunches and evening meals. In addition, there is a 'free to use' private car park and all of our rooms are pet friendly. Free WiFi is available in all public areas. Alford is an historic market town, noted for its smuggling history and famous customs officer Thomas Paine who went on to write the book 'The Rights of Man'. During the American War of Independence Mr Paine was noted with scribing the phrase 'United States of America'. His office was located here in what is now our Bridal Suite. The hotel is close to the seaside resorts of Mablethorpe and Skegness. Cadwell Park is only 15-20 minutes away and there are plenty of golf courses and fishing lakes within easy reach.
