Olif is a new Welsh tapas bar and café with boutique rooms in the centre of Betws Y Coed, in the Snowdonia National Park. There are 5 individually designed en-suite rooms with complimentary robes, toiletries and rainfall showers, with some rooms offering a free-standing bathtub. Rooms feature free wi-fi, a flat-screen TV with Freeview, on-demand & Netflix, bluetooth iPod/MP3 player/DAB radio and most rooms have a river/mountain view.
In the evenings the restaurant serves a Welsh-themed tapas menu, providing a fusion of Welsh and Mediterranean small plates. During the day, the café offers breakfast, brunch, light bites and a small tapas menu along with homemade ‘Gourmet Burgers’ and indulgent Afternoon Teas. All produce in the restaurant is sourced locally from ethical producers and meat has full traceability.
Many suppliers have won the Welsh Government’s prestigious ‘True Taste’ award. Menus are changed regularly depending upon what's seasonal, and the restaurant showcases speciality produce with daily specials. And you can wash it all down with over 30 local ales and ciders, a great selection of Welsh liqueurs and spirits, and a great wine list with international favourites and award-winning Welsh wines.
All bedrooms have luxury 'Hypnos' pocket sprung mattresses, Egyptian cotton bedding, and hypo-allergenic ‘feels like down’ microfibre pillows and duvets. Guests are pampered with complimentary bathrobes, luxury Welsh ‘Myddfai’ toiletries, along with a Toni & Guy hairdryer and all en-suites have luxury rainwater showers.
There are also 2 deluxe king rooms with luxury freestanding baths for you to relax in after a long day walking – or just because you want to pamper yourself!
Each room has free wi-fi – all the better to enjoy your 32” flat screen TV with Freeview and a range of on demand and streaming channels such as Netflix, All rooms also have bluetooth DAB radios / MP3 players. They’ll even wake you up in the morning.
Room service is available during restaurant opening hours and there’s a complimentary hospitality tray with a selection of teas and Welsh roast coffee, water and fresh milk, as well as complimentary ‘Eboni & Eifori’ fudge and homemade shortbread.
