October House Holiday Cottage is a comfortable, well appointed lodge set it's own private, dog-proof garden within the lovely grounds of October House, home of the Acland family. It offers ideal holiday accommodation for families or couples looking for rural tranquility, space to run around and enjoy, beautiful countryside and easy access to things to do and places to see such as the New Forest, the South Coast, Stonehenge, Salisbury and a host of National Trust and family attractions within an easy drive. Not forgetting our animals you are welcome to enjoy! There is no traffic, no street lights, plenty of space and lovely wooded walks in all directions. Accommodation The cottage sleeps 4 with a double bedroom and a bunk bed room, two loos, a shower, kitchen and lounge with a sofa bed and wood burning stove. The sunny master bedroom has a sumptuous 5' double bed with down pillows. There are plenty of drawers and hanging cupboards, a vanity unit and an en-suite toilet. The smaller bedroom has bunk beds for the kids but is fine for adults too. There is a second toilet and shower room. The light and airy lounge features a stove to keep you warm and cosy on chilly evenings and winter days. The front door opens onto a large dog and child-proof garden. It is south west-facing which makes it a perfect sun trap perfect for summer barbeques (equipment provided) or just sipping sundowners. The brand new kitchen has all the conveniences including a washing machine and dishwasher, electric hob, fan oven and breakfast bar.
