Mansfield's roofs have a particular story. Half the town was built in a rush between the 1890s and the 1930s, when the pits were hiring; the ground beneath it has done a century of settling since; and our famously dry East Midlands weather lets small faults hide for years before a big storm finds them all at once. Repairing that housing well is a local skill. It's also the whole of what we do - there's no new-roof salesman waiting behind the survey.
