MWS Weighing Solutions are the UKs leading manufacturer of industrial scales, which is designed and manufactured at the head office in Leicester.
MWS also operate an experienced service and calibration department from the Head Office and the North East Service Centre located in County Durham. Calibration is accredited to ISO9001 and ISO17025 for traceability purposes, MWS also adhere to the UK Weighing Federations code of practice for the calibration procedures.
MWS Weighing Solutions provide new product inspection equipment such as check weighers, metal detectors and X-Ray contamination systems, as part of the supply testing of checkweighers and metal detectors can be chosen as an additional ongoing service.
The journey to MWS Ltd started as Micro Weighing Systems which was established in 1994, by Richard Clarke, a veteran within the weighing industry with as of today (2020) nearly 50 years of experience. In 1997 the business became MWS Ltd and Andrew Clarke the current Managing Director joined as an assembly engineer.
Building on the success of the Micro 3000 and 4000 indicators a new range of weighing equipment was developed for the food industry, emphasis was placed on hygiene and design aesthetics, developing simple weighing products with a low cost of long-term ownership has been at the forefront of MWS ethos since the beginning.
MWS can count themselves as one of the only UK-based suppliers of weighing scale companies that can design, manufacture, install and maintain weighing equipment – a beginning to end supply process.
