Lower Damgate Farm is a perfect destination for large groups and provides accommodation in and around a luxury 16th Century Farm House for 22-30 guests. The Animal Rescue Farm is nestled between Dovedale and the Manifold valley in a stunning area of The Peak District National Park and has far reaching views across the valleys. The main property is situated around a courtyard and sleeps up to 22/24 guests in 11 Bedrooms. Plus in addition you can hire the property as a whole sleeping up to 28/30 guests by including the old Farmhouse B&B Rooms. This ensures exclusive use. The spacious courtyard property is often referred to as the "Tardis" Though originally Reuben’s Roost, Bremen’s Barn and Hope’s Hideaway, it is set up for set up for large groups where there is space to be together and dine as a group, or separate depending upon your needs. As well as being fitted out to a very high standard with luxury furnishings, very comfy beds and luxury linen included, the whole property has all the latest technology with Wi-Fi and Sat TV and incorporates distinctive and original features including antiques. There is a separate Games Room which has a super league pool table, games for indoor and outdoor use, as well as TV, Music and Wi-Fi. There is also a Large Laundry room where guests can find extra equipment, including cots and high chairs etc. Featured in the Best of Britain Sunday Times, Lower Damgate Farm offers stunning views, luxurious and comfortable home surroundings where you can relax and escape the world in a perfect setting to enjoy time together or get out for a walk without the need to take a car. As well as 20 acres of grounds to explore, there are also gardens and mown paddocks to use. The Gardens have sheltered decking areas with garden furniture and stone built BBQ's. There is also a large enclosed garden which is "safe" for children with a little tykes play area and further garden seating. We mow the paddock and orchards during summer months for outdoor games with picnic tables and stunning views across the Peaks Lower Damgate Farm is also home to Dovedale Animal Rescue Farm and we invite guests to interact with us at feeding time or to pet the animals. There are also 20 acres of farm grounds that you are welcome to use and explore, especially if its a lovely day for a picnic. We are a small working farm and provide a forever home to a number of alpacas, goats and horses as well as ducks, geese and chickens. All ages love to interact with our animals and many enjoy helping to feed the ducks on the pond or collecting eggs from the Hen House, as well as holding a handful of corn for a greedy goat to nibble. Animals are part of our farm so guests should be aware of this before booking. Dogs are welcome in the courtyard property, however we keep the farm house rooms free of animals in case anyone has allergies. We can easily seat from 60 - 140 guests for formal or informal dining, Hog Roasts, Garden Parties or even a festival theme! Our event barn “Dovedale Barn” is very unique and feedback from guests in our comment book say that it has the “wow factor” it is not something they are expecting at all, though it is still a farm barn with a difference!
