Church Court Cottages consist of four beautiful red sandstone cottages situated together around the courtyard, with a parking space for each property They are currently on the market and would make a great re-settlement opportunity for anyone leaving the forces and wanting to develop a business from home near the beautiful Lake District. We are currently operating as normal in the meantime so come and see for yourself with a relaxing break in fabulous surroundings. We are located in the peaceful village of - a truly rural hideaway, nestled at the base of the splendid Pennine hills, just 10 miles north east of Penrith and junction 40 of the M6. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to the beautiful lake Ullswater and 45 minutes to Keswick. For those interested in the world heritage site of Hadrian's Wall (and who wouldn't be?) we are within a pleasant hour's drive of some of the best forts and visitor centres. Perhaps less well known, but definitely worth a visit, is the city of Carlisle with its beautiful sandstone cathedral, castle which imprisoned Mary Queen of Scots, and interesting shops and architecture - all just 40 minutes away. A trip to the border Scottish town of Gretna is only 50 minutes.Dogs welcome. Ideal for families, couples and larger groups. Bookings can be taken for one or multiple cottages (discounts apply). Short breaks and longer stays available all year round. Individual cottages sleep 2 or 4, with a maximum occupancy of 11 for all four cottages.
