Femalegra 100 mg is marketed as containing sildenafil citrate 100 mg and is promoted for female sexual arousal problems. Sildenafil is a PDE-5 inhibitor that increases blood flow to genital tissues. However, its use for female sexual dysfunction is generally off-label, and it is not an FDA-approved treatment for female sexual interest/arousal disorder. Research on sildenafil in women has produced mixed results. Some clinical studies have reported improvements in genital sensation or sexual function in specific groups, while other trials found no significant overall benefit compared with placebo.
