TEACHING HISTORY David Bailey has been teaching the guitar privately and in both primary and secondary schools since 1993. He has worked with students in small groups and individually. David focuses on a variety of styles to suit student’s taste, making recordings of the practice material together with backing tracks in order to make practicing a more enjoyable and personal experience for each pupil. David has taught at both state and private schools and entered students of classical and electric guitar for Trinity College of Music and Rock School grade examinations, resulting in high pass rates. PERFORMANCE HISTORY David Bailey started to play the guitar at the age of thirteen, inspired by the electric guitar sound of Hank Marvin and a variety of other 1960’s musicians. Later he became interested in both folk and classical guitar. David was classically trained at Dartington College of Arts, which furthered his abilities and repertoire for public performance. David has regularly performed at local folk nights and has enjoyed playing as a soloist at weddings, restaurants, hotels and for a range of private functions. David Bailey has recorded a CD titled ‘Utopia’ featuring a variety of guitar styles.
