The Curry Mahal has been one of the finest restaurants in London since 1971. With a fusion of Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine its location in Putney has meant it has been in the City whilst being far enough away to relax and enjoy itself. With changing times and tastes it continues to be instrumental in the ever changing world of food. With a management change in February 2012 the restaurant has created a little twist on the traditional with the addition of a Mughal Court style of cooking.
For those who are not in the know this is the combination of high-quality fresh products with the sub-continents subtle spicy flavours. The end goal is our standard; to create refined Indian dishes. To make this all happen the Curry Mahal has brought in a little expertise in the form of head chef Himmat Singh. Himmat has a history in fine and refined dinning working in a number of select restaurants as well as the kitchen of London’s celebrated Cinnamon Club.
Our interior has changed with our new looking being the perfect place to relax and enjoy the new flavours on your palette. We have not forgotten our roots and our family will be your family to unwind with. We are not just a restaurant we are a community and being here for over 40 years has meant we have strong ties with Putney and its surroundings.
